After some tweaks and twizzles, Media Gallery is now open to the general public!



So what does that mean to you? Well, as a user you have the ability of embedding media from just about every site. You have the main albums, and your own personal albums to create.



Main Albums



These are the albums that are separated by country, and then individual type.

•Drama
•Movies
•Special

Under these individual folders, you have the ability to add different types of media that corresponds with a drama in the database. Including, but not limited to:

•Trailers
•Previews

•OP/ED
•OP/ED Theme: Meaning not the actual opening, but the song that is used
•OST songs

If you have any ideas or suggestions on other official videos to add, I am more than happy to review them.



Now, if you want to add something that isn't listed above, this is where the other option comes in.



User Lists



User Folders work just like the main ones do. You create one, and are able to link to them directly from any embedded site. You Can create a folder for just about anything. If you want to add Music Video's and share them...you can. If you want to create a folder for interviews on your favorite actor, go at it. Even DMV (Drama Music Video) would be fun to see



Now, the folders themselves have permissions meaning you have the ability to control who will see them. So you can go private (which will still always be viewable to Aki and I) or public.



There are only 2 rules:

1: A DB link is required, so it has to do something with someone or something on this site. Whether it be an actor, director, series etc.



2: Nothing that could get me arrested for being inappropriate. No pornographic material. All folders and entries will need to be approved, so I will know.

Good Afternoon Everyone!


I'd like to take a moment to share with you the newest feature of DS...Video's. Currently, the Admin staff if working on adding streaming video's to the dramas and movies.

What does this entail you ask? Well, its not to support the series or movie itself, there are plenty of streaming sites out there that supply that information. What this is meant to do is just provide another aid in helping you, the drama watcher, with more information on choosing a drama to watch. The new feature will include:



*Opening Themes

*Ending Themes

*Insert Songs

*Previews

*Trailers



Currently this is Admin only while I start getting all the rules and features straightened out, but I plan on making this user added in the future.

Good Afternoon everyone!


I don't have any real updates to report here. I just wanted to let you know that I am working on two things currently. One is top secret, and hopefully I can get that going, and the second one is lists.

Now, eventually I plan on having recommendations added, but this is a little different. It will give the ability for a user to create and show a list of their own choosing. I came up with the idea just randomly when I wanted a specific series that would make me cry. Then it hit me, why not just make a list?

One of the best thing about the lists is that it will allow users to create their own private lists to show (not private as in non-public) or it would allow you to create a public list that other users can contribute too...and it will allow the admin of the list to pick and choose what series can be added. Its a nifty little thing, and i can't wait to impliment it.

My first list? Male actors that make me go "squeeeeee" ;)

After pouring hours and hours over the code, rewriting it over and over, I realized that the title of the file was wrong.



Huzzah!




I have added advanced search as the default search. This allows you to include or exclude any selection to allow you to find the series or movie thats right for you!



I have increased the width of the lists for the two wide lists (Basic and Fall). Now you should see the lists on one line.



And what is the Fall layout you ask? Its the new default layout! If you have chosen your own layout in the past it won't automatically change it so take a look to the left and do a temp change to see what you think! The matching layout has also been added. For those of you who have chosen a different layout you will not see a change until you go under your profile settings on the forum.

Good Afternoon Everyone!

After several experiments with the registration, I have come to the determination that no matter what I do, spammers will love and adore the forum. So I am recruiting a board Admin who would be able to just help keep an eye on the entire forum with me, and ban people as necessary. If you are interested, please send me a PM through the forum.

(The job doesn't require a lot of legwork, just a ban here or there as needed.)

Due to the excessive amount of spam accounts that have been created (and banned!) I have restricted account setup. Now they will be manually approved by myself.



I tried adding the weird numbers, I tried email verification. Until I can figure out what else I can do, it's got to be this way.



If anyone has interest in banning people, please let me know. I could use another admin to help.



Its also helpful if you add I am not a bot to your profile. Its hard trying determine who is a bot or not ^^: if you think that you were deleted in error, please bash me over the head ^^;

Currently I am working within the DB. Im working on adding alternate titles, and adding options to the reviewing system. They will still be available at this time, but don't mind if you get an error or two, Im tweaking them! Hopefully I should have something by the end of the day.

Good Afternoon Everyone!



Thank you again to all the people who have been submitting series! It is greatly appreciated, and it makes me happy whenever I look into the queue to see things there.

Lately, I have put aside uploading series myself to work on the little things. I have been gradually adding directors for all the series (I should have added that option sooner!) and taking a look at other things that I have missed.



Next, I am going to start adding episode summaries. Im going to have to tweak my skilz with that, because I tend to be very long winded.



Once a series has all the episode summaries attached, it will be listed as completed. To see those, just choose completed while searching through the titles. So far there are a few movies, and one series listed there, but it will grow!!

Also remember there is an option to rate episodes as well as the series as a whole. Not all episodes are fantastic eh? :)

I added the adaptation link to the main menu, so now you can see which drama's were adapted from an Anime, Manga or Novel.

In addition to that I have added Length to the search capability. This will allow you to search by length of episode/movie as well.

Hello Everyone! I have had a few suggestions for Genre's, which is absolutely fantastic! Keep those suggestions coming. I really don't mind how many Genre's we have. Everyone has their own idea of what they are searching for, and the more ways to determine a genre the better!



In addition to that, if you see a series already uploaded, and a genre can be added to it (Ill be honest, Ive only seen a fraction of what I am uploading) please let me know through PM or on the boards and I will edit it!

I have created the "Work Version" which is just plain black and white, and no images (those were turned off for that layout)

Wow, lots of changes.


-If you are having trouble logging in, please clear out the cookie for DramaSummaries. I made some changes over the weekend and that may have changes the access. Clear it out and you are golden.


-Someone suggested a list of series rather than all the details, I personaly like the details, so we are going with both! By default the Green layout will now show just a list. However, you can change it to Green Summaries, which will show many more details on the main page rather than having to click each one to read the summaries. If you register, then you can change how you would like the layout to be at any time in "Your Account > Edit Preferances". To change it just for a single session, use the quick dropdown to the left!

I have been noticing that there have been login issues in regards to the site. People are able to log into the forum, but when going to the main page it isn't logged in.



I don't have this problem currently with IE, but I do when I test the site in firefox. I will try to resolve this as soon as I can.

For the new feature of the day, I have added a Gallery. This is seperate from your personal uploading in your Account Info. This allows all the users to upload and share images.

And it looks like I have to edit it so users can actually see it, more on that to come when I can tinker on it later!

I have added a section for "Completed" "Watching" "Plan to Watch" and "Dropped"

:) Now I just figure out how to get the counts fixed. I have them working for 2 out of 4.....
